Med College is authorized by the US Federal Government to enroll non-immigrant students. Eligible F1 students must demonstrate financial responsibility and enroll in a program full-time. F1 students must adhere to all visa requirements to maintain their status in the USA.
INTERNATIONAL (F1-M1) ADMISSIONS PROCESS
General Description
This outlines the step-by-step process for international students applying for admission under the F1/M1 visa categories. Please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth application experience.
STEP-BY-STEP ADMISSION PROCESS:
Step 1. Admissions Interview
- Duration: Approximately 30 minutes.
- Preparation: Please plan your time accordingly for this required interview.
Step 2. Submit Application
- Application Form: Complete and sign the Application for Admission.
- Dependent Information: If you have dependents accompanying you, fill out the Dependent F2 Form.
- Sponsorship Information: If you have a financial sponsor, complete the Affidavit of Sponsorship form.
Step 3. Payment of Fees
- Once your application is reviewed, you will receive an email with an invoice for the Application Fee.
- Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of $100.00.
- Payment: After the payment is processed, you may proceed with submitting the required documentation for further review.
Step 4. F1/M1 Admission Requirements
All incoming F1/M1 students must meet the following requirements to be accepted:
- Educational Documents: Submit official transcripts and diploma/graduation certificates. Applicants must have completed secondary education and be eligible for college-level studies.
- Passport: Provide a copy of the biographical page of your passport.
- Financial Resources: Submit an official bank letter confirming financial resources for your studies. (Refer to the Financial Resources section for more details).
- Entrance Exam: Successfully pass the entrance exam with a minimum score of 60.
Step 5. Acceptance and Registration
- Acceptance Notification: Upon approval of your application, you will receive an email containing your Registration Fee invoice.
- Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee of $150.00.
- Acceptance Letter: Your DSO will send your Acceptance Letter with important details. Be sure to read it carefully.
- I-20 Certificate: Along with the Acceptance Letter, you will receive the I-20 Certificate of Eligibility. Review and sign.
F-1 Visa Students Transferring from Another U.S. Institution:
- Complete all Admission Requirements (Steps 1-5).
- Submit a copy of your current I-20 form.
- Complete the Med College Transfer Eligibility Form.
F1 Visa Application Process (Embassy Applicants)
- Application Timeline: Start the admissions process as early as possible. We recommend beginning 3 to 6 months before your intended enrollment term. Be sure to check the academic calendar for specific application deadlines.
- Document Submission: Submit all required documents to the DSO/PDSO at least 60 days prior to the start of your term to ensure timely processing.
OFFICIAL EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS
Applicants must submit proof of a High School Diploma or GED. If you hold foreign educational certificates or diplomas, they must be translated and certified.

Financial Resources
Med College is authorized by the U.S. Federal Government to enroll non-immigrant students. As an international student, you must prove financial responsibility and be enrolled full-time to comply with visa requirements.
Financial Documentation Required:
Self-Supporting Students:
Submit a bank statement that demonstrates sufficient funds to cover both tuition and living expenses for one year. The required amount is $24,000.
Students with a Sponsor:
If your tuition and living expenses are being covered by a sponsor, the sponsor must:
- Complete the Affidavit of Support.
- Provide a bank statement showing sufficient funds.
Students Traveling with Dependents:
If you have dependents, please submit:
- A completed Dependent F-2 Application.
- A copy of each dependent’s passport
- An additional $5,980 per dependent to cover general living expenses.
F1 Policies, Regulations, and Rules
All students admitted to Med College must comply with the college’s policies and regulations, including making satisfactory academic progress each term toward their program objectives. Additionally, students must remain in good academic standing.Med College adheres to the requirements set by the Department of Homeland Security and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to ensure F-1 visa compliance.
Health and Accident Insurance
International students at Med College are strongly advised to purchase health insurance to cover potential accidents or illnesses during their time in the U.S. While you may choose any provider, Med College recommends the International Student Insurance, which offers comprehensive coverage at reasonable rates.

Ways to Obtain an international student visa
Transfer Student (F1 Students Only)
If you are an F-1 student, you may transfer to Med College. When an F-1 student transfers, the SEVIS ID number will remain the same. A DSO at a SEVP-certified school may not refuse to transfer your records for any reason. It is important to communicate with your DSO to help you maintain your status. Once your school releases your SEVIS record, you will begin classes at our next available start date.
Change of Status

The Immigration and National Act has specific requirements which must be met by applicants applying for an F1 student visa. Consulates will determine whether you qualify for the student visa. Applicants must demonstrate that they properly meet student visa requirements, including:
- Live in residence abroad with no immediate intention of abandoning that residence.
- Intend to depart from the United States upon completing the study.
- Possess sufficient funds to pursue the proposed course of study.
