Juan Revuelta is the founder and President of Med College, where he has been instrumental in leading the institution through two decades of innovation and growth. With a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration and Management, Mr. Revuelta has dedicated his career to enhancing educational opportunities in the health sciences, focusing on student success and outcomes.
Under his leadership, Med College has achieved significant milestones, including establishing the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program, the first fully accredited MRI program in Florida. He also spearheaded the development of the Associate in Science in Radiology Technologist and the Associate in Science in Nursing programs, expanding the college’s offerings to meet the evolving healthcare industry needs.
Mr. Revuelta brings over 25 years of clinical and educational experience in Diagnostic Medical Imaging. Before founding Med College, he attended medical school in Cuba. He served in the Department of Radiology at Jackson Health System and held various patient care, education, and management positions.
Throughout his career, Juan Revuelta has been committed to advancing medical education, ensuring that students are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the healthcare profession.
Rosina Revuelta
Director of Finances and Accounting
Rosina Revuelta has dedicated over two decades to driving innovation and growth at Med College, with a sharp focus on enhancing student success and outcomes. She has played a pivotal role in developing the college’s Business Plan and efficiently coordinated all departmental functions during her tenure.
In collaboration with the head of the school and the leadership team, Mrs. Revuelta oversees a broad spectrum of financial matters. Her responsibilities include budgeting, contract management, financial aid, expense control, financial reporting and audits, accounting controls, cash management, banking relations, capital budgeting, and risk management. Her financial acumen and leadership have been integral to the college’s continued success and stability.
Before joining Med College, Mrs. Revuelta built a robust career in sales and management. She served as a Regional Sales Representative with Commerce Corporation, a Sales Representative with Bank Colombia, and a Regional Supervisor with Colgate Palmolive. Her diverse experience across these roles has equipped her with a unique blend of skills that she continues to apply in her current role at Med College.
Tometra Everett
Chief Compliance Officer
With over 25 years of medical imaging and vocational education expertise, Mrs. Everett comes to Med College not only as a seasoned scholar and competent medical professional but also with a wealth of real-world experience. She holds a Master of Science in Education from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Health Services from St. Thomas University. She maintains her certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure as a Certified Radiology Technologist.
After completing her training in Radiology Technology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial School of Radiological Sciences in Miami, FL, she quickly transitioned into vocational education. Mrs. Everett started her career as a vocational instructor and eventually transitioned into other academic and administrative roles, including Director of Education at Med College. One of her glowing professional achievements was earning the position of Program Director at her alma mater, Jackson Memorial School of Radiology, where she served for 10 years.
Mrs. Everett strongly advocates career-focused, technical, and vocational training programs, citing, “Not all scholars are book smart. Some of us serve our communities by applying the practical knowledge learned through hands-on vocational training”.
Yessir Fournier
Director of Operations
Yessir Fournier has 28 years of experience in higher education and has served as an educational leader, founding and managing various programs and schools in Cuba, Mexico, and the United States. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy specializing in Teaching Methodologies from the Pedagogical Institute of Havana and degrees in Theology and Anthropology from Christendom College and in Academic Writing, Sociology, and Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago. He also earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership with cum laude honors from Loyola University Chicago and completed postgraduate studies in Organizational Development, Nonviolent Communication, and Educational Leadership. He holds a PhD in Humanities from Anáhuac University. He’s been director of and serves the Med College community as Director of Operations.
Alejandro Revuelta
Associate Director of Facility Operations
Alejandro Revuelta oversees the management and maintenance of the college’s facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for students, faculty, and staff. He is dedicated to optimizing operational performance and enhancing the overall campus experience.
Before taking on his current role, Alejandro held positions in Financial Aid, Registration, and Front Desk services, where he gained valuable insights into the college’s operations. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University.
Passionate about fostering a conducive learning atmosphere, Alejandro collaborates closely with various departments to ensure that the facilities effectively support the college’s mission of excellence in education and research.
Karina Cabrera
Chief of Admissions and Career Services
Karina Cabrera possesses more than two decades of extensive experience in higher education and is a visionary leader with a keen sense of strategy and forward-thinking. Karina earned her BS in Psychology and MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Albizu University.
Karina has experience in various student affairs roles at various private institutions. She is passionate about supporting students as they pursue their educational goals. She has served in multiple roles throughout her career, including Admission Counselor, Bursar, Academy Advisor, Campus Registrar, and Associate Director of Career Services.
Ms. Cabrera is currently the Director of Admissions at Med College. This role best aligns with her passion for supporting and promoting students’ success inside and outside the classroom.
Ms. Cabrera’s philosophy is to empower college students with the necessary tools to succeed in their careers.
Maria Alcuria
Chief of Financial Aid
With over 30 years of combined experience in education administration and financial aid, Mrs. Maria Alcuria brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Med College. As financial Aid Director, she assists students in applying for Title IV grants and loans and presents other educational funding and payment options.
Mrs. Alcuria goes above and beyond for our students. Her goal is to ensure that our students understand their responsibilities regarding the financing and repayment of their education funding. She understands that each student who walks through our doors has unique circumstances requiring special attention.
In addition to servicing students’ financial aid needs, Mrs. Alcuria works closely with the business office, admissions team, and education department to ensure that students have an exceptional experience from enrollment through graduation.
Meyling Wong
Chief of Registration
Since 2004, Ms. Meyling Wong has been actively engaged in the educational field at various levels. She joined Med College in 2017. Her primary role is Registrar, but she also supports the academic faculty, admissions team, and financial services departments.
Meyling’s professional goal is to better serve our student population through continuous self-improvement. She elevates her knowledge to keep up with the latest educational trends, innovations, and best industry practices. With that goal in mind, she obtained a Master’s in higher education with a concentration in Management and Leadership.
She also holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Ms. Wong’s mission is to deliver a superior customer service experience to our student body so they can reach their academic goals.
Keyla Linares
Imaging Program Director
With more than 15 years of experience in medical imaging and vocational education, Ms. Linares brings substantial expertise to Med College. For over a decade, she has balanced her role as an MRI Technologist with a passion for teaching.
Her dedication to education and extensive time spent teaching reflect her commitment to guiding and supporting students. Ms. Linares is currently the Imaging Program Director at Med College, where she is committed to guiding and supporting students.
Her extensive hands-on experience and transition to full-time education reflect her dedication to nurturing the next generation of professionals. Embracing the motto “Shaping Tomorrow’s Imaging Professionals,” Ms. Linares strives to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for career excellence.
Dr. Jose Chavez
Nursing Program Director
Dr. Jose Chavez has over 20 years of experience in Medical and Nursing higher education. He is an International Medical Graduate, a Second-Degree Specialist in Embryology, an Associate Professor, and a Research Assistant. Dr. Chavez holds a Master’s Degree in Comprehensive Children’s Health and a Master of Science in Nursing. He is also an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Additionally, he possesses a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
As the Nursing Program Director at Med College, Dr. Chavez oversees the academic operations of the nursing department, ensuring quality education, accreditation, and student success. He is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity among students and faculty, preparing future nurses for the challenges and opportunities in the healthcare industry.
Dr. Andro Perez, RT (MR), ARRT, ARMRIT
MRI Clinical Coordinator
Dr. Andro Perez has more than 25 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from a foreign High School in Medicine. Dr. Perez has a bachelor’s degree in science and a Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and he has more than 6 years of experience in the field.
Dr. Perez is currently the Clinical Coordinator for the MRI program at Med College. The primary purpose of this position is to place and follow up students in Clinical sites and Hospitals. This requires constant contact with facility representatives and actively searching for new affiliations to develop and implement the students’ clinical practices. Dr. Perez’s goal is to provide students with a high-quality environment to develop practical skills that will enable them to contribute excellently once they obtain certification.
Rachel Rodriguez, RT (R), ARRT
Radiology Technology Program Clinical Coordinator
Ms. Rachel has more than 10 years of experience in the medical imaging field and is currently the clinical coordinator and instructor for the radiology technology program at Med College. Her passion for radiologic technology and education has driven her professional journey, allowing her to mentor future radiologic technologists while ensuring high standards of clinical practice.
She has gained vast experience in radiography, mammography, CT, and MRI throughout her career. As an educator and clinical coordinator, she shares this knowledge with her students, ensuring they receive comprehensive training and develop the skills necessary for success in the field.
As a Clinical Coordinator and Instructor, she oversees the clinical education of radiologic technology students, coordinates their clinical rotations, and ensures that they meet the competencies required for ARRT certification. She also contributes to curriculum development, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical, hands-on experience in clinical settings.
She believes that education, combined with hands-on experience, is the key to cultivating competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in mentorship and continuous learning. She strives to inspire students to push beyond their limits and embrace innovation in medical imaging. Watching her students grow and succeed has been a constant source of motivation for her.
Having grown up in an academic environment as the daughter of two exceptional college professors, Ms. Rachel is deeply committed to fostering the growth and development of future radiologic technologists. In the future, she aims to expand the Radiology Technology Program, ensuring it remains innovative and continues to produce top-tier professionals in the medical imaging field.
